Thomas L. Blair is a resident of Charlotte, North Carolina, and holds a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree. He wrote The Sabatini Prophecy after discussing young adult novels with his four children. He is a frequent visitor to the Blue Ridge Mountains, which provided inspiration for the scenes in the book.

Set in a fictional, North Carolina mountain town, "The Sabatini Prophecy" is the first in a planned series of fantasy novels featuring Davey Boehm and his friends.
